Gr\u00f6nsakerna sk\u00e4rs i t\u00e4rningar med ungef\u00e4r 5mm sida beroende p\u00e5 koktid, trevligt med variation men inte f\u00f6r stora bitar. Gr\u00f6nsakerna och kryddorna tills\u00e4tts efter ett par minuter n\u00e4r det mesta av skummet \u00e4r borttaget. Efter n\u00e5gra timmar b\u00f6r soppan avsmakas och eventuellt justeras med salt; f\u00f6rsiktigt eftersom det \u00e4r m\u00e5nga smaker som skall samsas.
